Role overview

This remote contract role is centered on advanced work with Microsoft Word and PDF documents for AI training support. You will contribute domain expertise that helps improve how next-generation models learn, reason, and respond using practical, high-quality document examples. Prior AI experience is not required; strong professional knowledge in document handling is the key requirement.

Core responsibilities

  • Review, edit, and format Word and PDF files carefully so they meet client-specific and industry standards.
  • Handle tracked edits, review comments, and file versioning across large, complex document sets.
  • Build, update, and complete forms and templates for different professional use cases.
  • Extract information accurately from Word and PDF sources and organize it into usable formats.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver precise document support on time while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Apply document workflow practices for projects tied to legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Guide stakeholders on advanced Word and PDF features and effective document-handling methods.

Required background

  • At least 3 years of intensive professional experience using Word and PDF tools.
  • Strong command of formatting, markup, tracked changes, and document review processes.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with very strong attention to detail.
  • Master’s, PhD, or JD in a relevant discipline such as law, healthcare, academia, public policy, or finance.
  • Experience serving Fortune 500 clients or working in similarly regulated and complex environments.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote, deadline-focused setting with a self-driven approach.

Preferred experience

  • Background in specialized roles such as legal practice, healthcare administration, academic research, government consulting, or finance/real estate operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of advanced PDF capabilities such as form fields, digital signatures, and secure file handling.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates successful delivery of impactful Word and PDF projects.

Additional information

This position is described as a contract role and is fully remote. The work is intended to support the training of AI systems using expert document-related input.
