About the role

The business has been producing precision sheetmetal products since 1962 and is recognised for quality, craftsmanship, and advanced manufacturing capability. It operates as part of the Stratco Group from a well-equipped fabrication facility and works on projects ranging from prototypes to larger production runs.

This role suits someone who takes pride in accurate work, values a safety-first environment, and enjoys being part of a capable team delivering high-quality fabricated products.

What you’ll do

  • Use welding machines, hand tools, and related equipment safely and effectively.
  • Carry out MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, with work expected to meet code requirements for weld testing.
  • Read technical drawings, engineering sketches, and blueprints to complete work accurately.
  • Check that finished welds align with required quality and safety standards.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues, other departments, and project teams.
  • Keep the workspace tidy, organised, and safe.
  • Follow all critical safety rules and help maintain a strong safety culture.

What we’re looking for

  • Solid awareness of welding safety practices and safe machine operation.
  • Hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding on the materials listed above.
  • Careful attention to detail and strong workmanship standards.
  • Ability to understand and work from technical drawings.
  • A dependable, punctual, and hard-working attitude.
  • A relevant trade qualification is preferred, though it is not mandatory.
  • Someone who works well as part of a team.

Why join us

  • Be part of a highly respected organisation with a long-standing reputation.
  • Work in a safety-first culture.
  • Join a team focused on quality work and practical craftsmanship.
