Overview

Calgary Restoration is an expanding emergency property recovery company that supports homeowners, businesses, and property managers across Calgary and nearby communities. The team responds to water damage, flooding, sewer backups, storm damage, and other urgent property issues.

This opportunity is for a dependable, hard-working general labourer who wants to contribute to emergency response work and develop a long-term career in the restoration field. No prior restoration background is needed, as training is provided for candidates who are motivated, willing to learn, and bring a strong work ethic.

What you will do

In this role, you will work with experienced technicians on emergency property damage projects throughout Calgary. The work changes from day to day and includes both residential and commercial jobs.

  • Attend emergency water damage and flood cleanup assignments
  • Remove accumulated water using specialist equipment
  • Strip out damaged drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinets, and similar building materials
  • Carry out demolition and cleanup tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Install and oversee drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers
  • Clean job sites and prepare them for restoration activities
  • Load, unload, clean, and look after company equipment
  • Support mold-prevention and sanitation work
  • Follow safety procedures and accepted industry practices
  • Interact professionally and courteously with customers in homes and commercial spaces

What we are looking for

The ideal person will be reliable, on time, physically capable of manual labour, and comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment. You should be team-oriented, respectful, positive, and ready to take direction and learn new tasks.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence preferred
  • Reliable transportation preferred
  • Past experience in construction, demolition, restoration, moving, landscaping, or similar labour work is helpful but not mandatory
  • Ability to use power tools is an advantage
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Able to lift 50 lbs or more repeatedly during the day
  • Available for on-call work, including evenings, weekends, and overnight emergency callouts when required

No restoration experience required

Applicants without restoration experience are welcome. Candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn will receive on-the-job training to support their success.
