The Water and Sewer Team Member position involves operating, maintaining, and constructing water supply and sewerage infrastructure aligned with health, environmental, and Council standards. This role requires managing scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks, assisting with new infrastructure construction, responding to system issues, and completing related documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain water and sewerage infrastructure systems.
- Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance activities.
- Support construction projects for new water and sewer infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to operational system issues.
- Maintain accurate workplace records and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (NWP30215) or an equivalent trade qualification.
- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
- Strong knowledge of water supply and sewerage system operations, maintenance, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in laying water and sewer mains and related construction tasks.
- Developed troubleshooting skills for water and sewerage systems.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, as well as telemetry, SCADA, and GIS/mapping software.
Employment Details and Benefits
- Permanent full-time position with a 38-hour workweek.
- Gross annual remuneration starting at $81,466.84, which includes:
- $1,380.70 weekly base salary
- $165.68 weekly superannuation (12% contribution)
- $20.29 per week Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
