Job Overview
The Watch Polisher is tasked with delivering premium polishing and refinishing services on luxury timepieces made from precious metals including steel, gold, and platinum. This role is vital in ensuring watches achieve perfect aesthetic standards and cleanliness before moving onto final repairs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute expert polishing, refinishing, and cleaning for luxury watch cases and parts.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines rigorously to maintain quality consistency.
- Complete all polishing assignments within set lead times to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Keep the polishing station and associated tools highly organized and clean.
- Track and oversee polishing materials inventory to ensure supply availability.
- Work collaboratively with team members to balance daily and weekly workloads effectively.
- Maintain accurate daily reporting of polishing activity statistics.
- Adhere strictly to all workshop safety protocols and regulations.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least one year of hands-on experience polishing luxury watches.
- Knowledge of diverse polishing methods such as lapping, mirror polishing, and satining.
- Competence in operating lapping machines and specialized polishing tools, including equipment like Crevoisier.
- Basic proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent attention to fine detail and ability to focus intently.
- Superior manual dexterity and precision in workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or documented training from reputable watchmaking or polishing schools or brands is advantageous.
