Job description
Position Overview
The Zweckverband zur Wasserversorgung der Möninger Gruppe supplies drinking water to nearly 5,000 people. Its operations include several deep wells, a water distribution network of about 40 km, and a water treatment facility with two elevated storage tanks, all run by in-house staff. The organization is hiring a Water Operator (w/m/d) in full-time, permanent employment, available immediately.
Responsibilities
- Support the operation and upkeep of the water supply infrastructure, including wells, pipelines, the waterworks, and storage tanks.
- Carry out hands-on technical and maintenance tasks as part of the day-to-day water supply operation.
- Take part in on-call duty, including times outside normal working hours.
- Perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions when required.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a skilled trade or manual profession.
- Valid driving licence class B.
- Broad technical curiosity and strong practical manual skills.
- Confident handling of machines and tools.
- Ability to work well in a team, while also working independently and flexibly.
- Physical resilience, reliability, commitment, and willingness to perform.
- Readiness to cover standby/on-call shifts beyond standard working hours.
- Fitness for outdoor work in all weather conditions.
