Role Summary and Key Responsibilities

• Oversee warranty operations following BYD and company policy to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Accurately process warranty claims within required timelines to maximize acceptance and revenue.
• Provide technical and procedural guidance to the warranty team regarding warranty matters.
• Track warranty performance and identify opportunities for improvement aligning with departmental objectives.
• Prepare and analyze warranty performance reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
• Participate in warranty audits to verify compliance with both OEM and internal standards.
• Manage reconciliation of warranty accounts, credit notes, and remittance as per financial policies.
• Liaise with Aftersales, Parts, Technical, Finance, and OEM teams to resolve warranty-related issues promptly.
• Deliver on-the-job training and continuous support to warranty staff and service advisors.
• Coordinate with visiting OEM representatives, sustaining strong manufacturer partnerships.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of automotive warranty processes and OEM standards.
• Proven experience handling warranty claims, submissions, account reconciliations, and warranty audits.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent reporting capabilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables.
• Effective problem-solving skills pertaining to warranty-related challenges.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Efficient organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Capability to mentor and support team members effectively.

Experience and Educational Background

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five years’ experience within automotive distribution.
• At least three years’ experience specifically as a Warranty Administrator.
• Hands-on experience with SAP IS-Auto and/or SAP S/4HANA systems is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of OEM Dealer Management Systems and warranty software.
