Role overview

Petrochem Performance Chemicals (PPC), a Mazrui International company, is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor for its Abu Dhabi, UAE operations. PPC works in drilling fluids and related equipment services, helping customers improve asset value through tailored, cost-effective technical solutions across drilling and completion fluids, solids control, filtration equipment, and waste management. Its operations span the Middle East and Caspian region, with active presence in the UAE, Iraq, Kuwait, and Yemen.

The role is responsible for overseeing warehouse activity, including receiving, storage, issuance, shipping, stock control, materials handling, and record maintenance. The supervisor also ensures compliance with QHSE requirements, supports inventory accuracy, and helps maintain efficient warehouse and distribution practices.

Job objective

This position is meant to lead the team handling warehouse operations, ensuring that materials and equipment are received, stored, protected, issued, labelled, packed, and shipped in an organized and compliant manner.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the receipt, issuance, storage, and safeguarding of all materials and equipment under general supervision.
  • Lead warehousing operations for the country, including planning and directing material and equipment movement in and out of the facility.
  • Set and uphold warehouse and distribution procedures, standards, and work practices.
  • Supervise data entry related to incoming receipts.
  • Ensure all inventory is stored safely, neatly, and in line with QHSE standards.
  • Build and track performance measures, staff schedules, task allocation, and employee evaluations.
  • Train warehouse staff on warehousing processes, material handling equipment, safety procedures, and the safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Coordinate pickup, storage, and delivery activities.
  • Carry out periodic physical stock checks and inventory counts.
  • Step in to perform warehouse staff duties when needed.
  • Handle other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Support the quality, environmental, and QHSE management systems.
  • Ensure PPC policies are properly communicated, implemented, and maintained.
  • Uphold legal and moral duties to maintain a safe and healthy workplace as far as reasonably possible.

Functional competencies

  • Track logistics requirements and purchasing plans for products and equipment.
  • Manage stock transfers by coordinating surplus inventory exchange with other countries and monitoring regional stock levels for intercompany movement.

Experience

The role requires at least 4 years of experience in a warehouse supervisor or warehouse manager position.

The candidate should also be capable of developing, implementing, and maintaining a computerized inventory control system, along with setting warehousing and distribution standards, planning storage space usage, and conducting periodic inventory checks for surplus materials and equipment.

Experience should include supervising warehouse facilities, directing shipment, receipt, storage, and issuance, and planning deliveries in line with operations planning.

Education

A High School qualification, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree is acceptable.
