Warehouse Operator

About the Role

This position involves active, hands-on involvement with floor-level warehouse operations. You'll oversee the complete lifecycle of each order, starting from its entry into our system until it is handed over to the courier. Responsibilities also encompass maintaining precise physical inventory, handling product returns, and ensuring the warehouse remains organized.

Working in close coordination with the Operations Manager and founding members, you will join a compact team where your contributions will be clearly visible, highly valued, and where career progression is well-defined.

Primary Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment & Dispatch: Picking items using the Unicommerce order management system, conducting thorough quality checks against approved product samples, packing orders using branded materials according to SOPs, preparing shipping manifests and AWB labels, coordinating courier pickups, maintaining detailed dispatch logs, and ensuring same-day dispatch for orders received before 2 pm.
• Inventory Management: Verifying incoming stock against vendor packing lists, reporting discrepancies with photographic evidence, organizing products adhering to SKU and FIFO principles, labeling storage locations, performing weekly physical inventories on Wednesdays, monitoring packaging supplies, and keeping the warehouse clean and orderly.
• Returns & Reverse Logistics: Receiving and inspecting returned products based on condition checklists, categorizing returns into resaleable, damaged, or defective groups, restocking eligible items with inventory updates, documenting return conditions with photos and notes, and collaborating with management on disposal or vendor claims for damaged goods.
• Daily Reporting & Coordination: Submitting comprehensive dispatch reports daily by 6 pm outlining order statuses and issues, promptly alerting management about operational or inventory challenges, prioritizing workload during peak periods, adhering strictly to SOPs, and attending daily morning briefings.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, fulfillment, packing, or inventory control experience; experience in e-commerce fulfillment strongly favored.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality, reflecting brand standards.
• Comfortable using basic technology such as OMS platforms, courier portals, and spreadsheet software.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently without constant oversight.
• Physically capable of warehouse duties including standing and lifting packages weighing 5–10 kilograms.
• Demonstrates honesty and responsibility when managing valuable inventory.
• Basic literacy in Hindi and/or English for reading labels and maintaining records.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior involvement in e-commerce order processing, airway bill generation, or courier coordination.
• Knowledge of barcode scanning and warehouse management tools.
• Experience handling premium or fragile items such as watches, jewelry, electronics, or luxury goods.
• Understanding of FIFO inventory practices and return handling workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly salary in the range of ₹16,000 to ₹18,000 paid by the 5th of each month.
