Job description
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Operative to become a permanent member of our operations team. The suitable candidate must be self-driven, disciplined, and comfortable working autonomously. This role is hands-on and demands adaptability, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to operate efficiently without constant supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Organize pick slips, prepare stock documentation and labels, coordinate with transport providers, manage bookings and shipping manifests, maintain precise batch records, and respond to queries via phone or email.
- Receive and unload incoming deliveries, inspect goods thoroughly, report any damages, re-palletize and label stock as needed, and update warehouse stock locations.
- Pick, pack, and ready items for dispatch, load delivery vehicles, verify shipment paperwork, and keep records of goods released.
- Conduct repacking, blending, decanting, sampling, weighing, and labeling of inventory; schedule and oversee sample collections and shipments.
General Duties
- Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse, storage areas, and equipment.
- Carry out stock cycle counts and reconcile them with system records.
- Uphold stringent health, safety, hygiene, and security standards.
- Complete general administrative tasks and other duties as directed by management.
Requirements
- At least two years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
- Possession of a valid Manual Handling certification.
- Current Forklift license, including counterbalance and very narrow aisle (VNA) operation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
- Proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to work.
- Right to live and work permanently in Ireland.
Skills
- Warehouse organization, planning, and inventory control expertise.
- Experience operating forklifts, including counterbalance and VNA models.
- Knowledge of safety management principles and equipment upkeep.
- Strong observation, judgment, and monitoring skills.
- Proficiency with computers and intermediate use of MS Office applications such as Excel, SharePoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and feedback exchange in a team environment.
Salary
Annual remuneration ranges from €28000 to €35000 depending on experience.
