Role overview

UGL’s Manufacturing & Maintenance division is hiring an experienced Store Controller for its Nebo Maintenance Facility. This is a permanent full-time position in a DIDO arrangement, with camp stay and meals included. The roster runs Monday to Thursday on day shift, totaling 38 hours each week.

What the role involves

In this position, you will help keep inventory movement accurate and efficient so maintenance work can continue smoothly. The role centres on receiving, storing, tracking, and issuing parts and materials with care and precision.

  • Check incoming deliveries to confirm items meet quality and compliance expectations.
  • Organise safe, efficient storage of parts across the warehouse and yard.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freight.
  • Pick and issue parts for service technicians promptly.
  • Assemble service kits to support maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out stocktakes and cycle counts to preserve inventory accuracy.
  • Enter inventory movements in UGL systems, including receipting, issuing, and managing rotables.
  • Maintain correct records and follow all required procedures and standards.

About you

The ideal candidate is a seasoned warehouse professional who pays close attention to detail and works with a strong safety mindset. Experience from a safety-critical setting such as rail, automotive, defence, mining, or heavy industry would be particularly valuable.

  • Current LF forklift licence, with proven use of counterbalance and high-reach forklifts.
  • Hands-on experience loading and unloading stock in warehouse and/or yard environments.
  • Clear communicator who can develop strong working relationships.
  • Highly organised, accountable, and focused on outcomes.
  • Comfortable using computers, including MS Word, Excel, and email.
  • SAP experience is an advantage.
