Role Overview
The position of Warden at AIFF-FIFA Telangana Talent Academy requires managing and overseeing the residential life of players in a supportive, secure, and disciplined environment. The Warden ensures smooth daily routines, compliance with academy regulations, and readiness to respond to health or safety concerns promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily residential activities, fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage discipline, hygiene, and schedules including wake-up times, meals, study hours, and bedtime.
- Build a trusting relationship with players, serving as their initial contact for personal matters.
- Monitor player health, coordinate medical checkups, and manage illnesses or injuries in partnership with medical personnel.
- Enforce safety rules strictly within living quarters and be prepared to address emergencies efficiently, documenting incidents and reporting as needed.
- Implement and uphold academy disciplinary codes while addressing conflicts, bullying, or misconduct constructively and firmly.
- Collaborate with coaches and counselors to support behavioral progress and development.
- Coordinate among kitchen, housekeeping, security, transportation, and administrative teams to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Maintain records of player attendance and movements diligently.
- Facilitate communication with parents or guardians through academy management when necessary.
- Promote broader developmental activities including academics, cultural programs, and life skills.
- Observe players’ adaptation to residential life and refer psychosocial issues to appropriate experts.
- Encourage core values such as respect, teamwork, discipline, and personal growth within the residential community.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least three years’ experience as a residential warden, hostel supervisor, or in youth residential care.
- Strong skills in interpersonal communication and conflict resolution.
- Able to work effectively with adolescents from various backgrounds.
- Preference given to candidates with education in physical education, psychology, or social work.
- Experience with sports academies or young athletes is an advantage.
- Fluency in Telugu, Hindi, and English languages desired.
