Waiter Supervisor

Overview

The Waiter Supervisor, also known as Restaurant Service Supervisor, manages and directs the service team to ensure efficient daily operations within the restaurant setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage waiters and waitresses throughout daily restaurant functions.
• Delegate tasks, designate sections, and organize work schedules for the service personnel.
• Ensure prompt and courteous reception of customers, maintaining professional service standards.
• Take customer orders and provide support in serving food and beverages as needed.
• Supervise service quality, maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of the restaurant environment.
• Address customer queries, receive feedback, handle complaints, and accommodate special requests.
• Train and mentor new service team members on established service standards and operational procedures.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to guarantee accurate and timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Ensure tables are correctly arranged, cleared, and ready for new patrons.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, presentation, and performance of service staff.
• Support opening and closing activities and verify the restaurant's preparedness for service.
• Track inventory levels for essential service supplies such as utensils, glassware, napkins, and condiments.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene protocols, workplace safety, and internal policies.
• Assist management with routine operational concerns and communicate any issues affecting service or staffing.
• Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by the Restaurant Manager or supervisory team.
