We are currently seeking a Wagenmeister:in (m/f/d) for DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH at locations including Dortmund, Duisburg, Frankfurt am Main, Hagen, Hamm, or Karlsruhe.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare necessary documentation for train journeys, including wagon lists and brake slips.
- Conduct technical inspections of wagons and report any irregularities found.
- Perform tasks in compliance with required and specified regulations.
- Carry out running capability tests and manage defective wagons as part of daily duties.
- Inspect wagons upon return of rented vehicles.
Candidate Profile
- Completed technical apprenticeship, preferably as an industrial mechanic, ideally in a metalworking profession with additional certification as a freight wagon master; qualifications such as train conductor or shunting assistant are advantageous.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and operational service experience are required.
- Knowledge of track construction is considered a plus.
- Willingness to work nationwide across varying sites, including weekends and shift work (including night shifts).
- Possession of a valid Class B driving license is mandatory.
