Job Function & Location

This role supports the Supply Chain Manufacturing functions within Manufacturing Product & Packaging Operations, based in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India.

Role Summary

The Wage Associate will be primarily responsible for operating and maintaining utility services and equipment essential to the production environment. This includes overseeing uptime for all utilities, managing the customer interface within the estate, and ensuring efficient daily service delivery to internal users at the Johnson & Johnson Aurangabad facility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage operation and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electromechanical equipment, and utility components including steam generation/distribution, ETO scrubber, nitrogen generator, chillers, HVAC, clean rooms, air compressors, boilers, and related systems.
  • Monitor equipment performance using gauges and indicators, and escalate technical issues as necessary to ensure uninterrupted utility services.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new facilities and equipment.
  • Follow strict compliance with GMP, EHS, and ISO 14644-1 standards for clean rooms and aseptic sealing processes.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including generating procedures and verifying records for historical compliance.
  • Manage vendors and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) associated with utilities and facilities.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote regulatory compliance within the team.
  • Train and coach colleagues as a subject matter expert in relevant operational areas.
  • Provide timely inter-departmental support to maintain operational excellence and troubleshoot issues promptly.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on experience in operation and maintenance, preferably with a diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of utility systems such as steam, ETO scrubber, chillers, HVAC, nitrogen generators, DG sets, RO water systems, and GMP requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Certifications

  • Proficiency in operational excellence areas, including analytics, problem-solving, data management, and decision-making.
  • Strong quality mindset with compliance orientation and health, safety, and environmental awareness.
  • Capability in financial management related to budgeting and cost control.
  • Experience in project management and business case development.
