About the Company
CLEAR is creating the next generation of secure identity services, designed to make everyday experiences safer and smoother in both physical and digital environments. With a membership base of more than 38 million and a global partner network that continues to grow, the company is reshaping how people move through airports, stadiums, workplaces, and other parts of daily life.
Role Overview
The Vice President of Travel Partnerships will be responsible for one of CLEAR’s key growth levers: building, expanding, and managing strategic partnerships that fuel customer acquisition, enrollment growth, and revenue within the travel business. This leader will own the overall partner strategy, business development efforts, and senior relationship management across airlines, online travel agencies, hospitality brands, loyalty programs, and other travel-adjacent ecosystems, while collaborating across functions to launch and scale new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and lead the travel partnership strategy, prioritizing opportunities that support enrollment growth, revenue generation, and broader market expansion across the travel landscape.
- Develop, nurture, and sustain senior-level relationships with strategic partners in airlines, hospitality, online travel, loyalty, and related travel organizations.
- Manage the entire partnership journey from opportunity sourcing and pipeline development through commercial design, negotiation, launch, optimization, renewal, and growth.
- Design partnership structures that improve acquisition, expand distribution, and build durable value for both CLEAR and its partners.
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and senior leadership to assess opportunities, shape roadmap priorities, and ensure strong execution.
- Build repeatable operating rhythms, reporting tools, and performance management processes that provide visibility into enrollments, revenue contribution, and partnership health.
- Act as an external representative for CLEAR in the travel sector, strengthening the company’s reputation as a preferred strategic partner and tracking industry shifts, risks, and opportunities.
Success Metrics
- Improvement in partner-led enrollments, customer acquisition, and market penetration across travel channels.
- Revenue, profitability, and overall business impact generated through strategic partnership programs.
- Growth, retention, and health of key partnerships, including expansion within existing relationships.
- Quality and momentum of the partnership pipeline, from prospecting through conversion to active collaboration.
- Creation of scalable operating mechanisms, reporting structures, and internal capabilities for partnerships.
Candidate Profile
- Background in partnerships, business development, sales, commercial strategy, or a similar senior leadership function.
- Proven ability to build and scale revenue-producing partnerships in travel, consumer, subscription, marketplace, or technology businesses.
- Strong knowledge of the travel ecosystem, including airlines, hospitality, online travel agencies, loyalty programs, and distribution channels.
- Experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements that produce measurable outcomes.
- Solid financial and commercial judgment, including ownership of revenue goals and partnership economics.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to earn trust and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
- A builder mindset with experience creating scalable processes, operating models, and high-performing teams in fast-changing environments.
- Hands-on leadership style with a history of hiring, developing, and retaining strong commercial talent.
- Customer-focused, resourceful, and driven by meaningful business results.
