About the Role

We are collaborating with a dynamic design-oriented firm that is searching for a Vice President of Talent and Marketing to craft the company’s narrative, enhance its market visibility, and develop a sustainable talent acquisition strategy. This newly established executive role uniquely blends marketing, communications, employer branding, and recruitment efforts.

The individual in this leadership position will be responsible for articulating the firm's story externally while designing strategies to attract and engage premier industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and enhance the company's brand identity, messaging, and presence in the marketplace.
  • Create engaging narratives highlighting company projects, culture, and expansion.
  • Develop employer branding initiatives to draw leading Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) talent.
  • Increase the company's prominence within the architecture and design sectors.
  • Act as the company's representative at industry conferences, networking functions, and related events.
  • Foster and maintain connections with industry experts, academic institutions, and emerging professionals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic growth plans and long-term positioning of the organization.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, employer branding, recruitment, or business development within the AEC sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of architecture, engineering, or design industries.
  • Existing networks within the Texas AEC and design communities are a plus.
  • Exceptional public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable serving as an external ambassador to elevate brand presence.
  • Strategically minded with strong independent execution capabilities.

Location and Compensation

Candidates should reside in the Greater Houston or Austin areas. The position offers primarily remote work following an initial onboarding phase, requiring occasional travel to College Station/Brenham and for industry gatherings.

The compensation range is $90,000 to $120,000+ annually, depending on experience and role scope.
