About the Role
We are seeking professional voice actors and voice-over artists who speak Australian English authentically to contribute to a leading AI speech research initiative. This contract position involves participating in paid studio recording sessions, aimed at enhancing AI's ability to comprehend and interact naturally with Australian English speakers.
Responsibilities
- Perform natural, conversational Australian English speech recordings in a professional studio setting.
- Engage in both solo and dual-speaker dialogue sessions.
- Deliver performances that sound unscripted across various tones and scenarios.
- Adapt pacing, tone, and delivery based on light direction.
- Maintain professionalism and authenticity throughout all sessions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a professional voice actor or voice-over artist with prior recording sessions.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Australian English with a consistent and genuine accent.
- Must currently reside in Australia.
- Ability to perform natural dialogues that feel spontaneous and human-like.
- Reliable, professional attitude and openness to feedback.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in acting or performance arts.
- Experience with broadcast, podcast, or studio recording environments.
- Comfortable working in both solo and conversational dialogue formats.
Additional Information
- Employment Type: Contract
- Sessions are conducted in person at a professional recording studio.
- Each session lasts approximately four hours, with two to three sessions in total.
- This role does not involve any voice cloning work.
