Job description
Overview
The Visual Merchandising team supports the Hermès of Paris Canada network by improving the in-store client journey through thoughtful, targeted presentation of product collections, while also helping drive sales performance. The team also collaborates with Retail, Client Experience, and Communications initiatives, bringing visual expertise that strengthens and evolves the brand image.
In this Toronto boutique role, the Visual Merchandiser is accountable for maintaining consistent, high-quality visual merchandising standards. The position calls for imaginative in-store presentation skills and the ability to balance commercial priorities with visual appeal by improving the store environment, applying group guidelines, and supporting business objectives. The role is a key partner to store leadership and requires adaptability, strong communication, and day-to-day follow-through.
Responsibilities
- Keep sales-floor displays visually strong, well-maintained, and continuously elevated.
- Work closely with the store team, Store Directors, and the Visual Merchandising Manager to identify sales issues and build visual strategies that support improvement.
- Assist with selling events and in-store animations by guiding and executing visual merchandising activity.
- Train store colleagues and métier specialists on visual merchandising standards and seasonal métier directions.
- Support replenishment of products taken from display setups.
- Share timely qualitative observations and photos with the Visual Merchandising Manager.
- Handle any additional responsibilities assigned by the Store Director or Visual Merchandising Manager.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in visual merchandising.
- Proven leadership ability and clear communication of goals and expectations.
- Capability to interpret guidelines and apply them while remaining aligned with group standards.
- Strong eye for detail.
- Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Flexible and able to shift direction quickly when needed.
- Well-developed organization and follow-up abilities.
- Creative, conceptual, and innovative thinking.
- Strong people skills for building local and cross-functional working relationships.
- Excellent time-management skills.
Additional Information
