Role overview
Methodic is hiring a full-time Visual Designer to support its brand identity and visual communication efforts in San Francisco, CA. This on-site role focuses on keeping the company’s outward-facing and internal visuals consistent, polished, and engaging across marketing, sales, product, and web experiences.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create visuals that clearly present the company’s value proposition and connect with fintech-focused audiences. The position also includes a mix of digital, print, and product-related design work, along with the need to manage several requests at once and move quickly on feedback.
What you’ll do
- Own and refine the brand system, including logo usage, color choices, typography, and other identity rules, and make sure all assets follow those standards.
- Create a wide range of sales and marketing materials such as website banners, social posts, decks, infographics, one-pagers, and case study PDFs that communicate the platform’s value clearly.
- Produce visuals for blog content, webinars, and other content marketing needs, including explanatory diagrams and feature icons.
- Support the product and design team by adding illustrations or other graphic elements for the web application and white-label templates so the interface stays clean and modern.
- Coordinate with printers or outside vendors when physical collateral is needed, such as event booths, swag, and brochures, and ensure specifications and output quality are correct.
- Keep up with design trends, especially in tech and fintech, and bring proactive ideas for stronger visual storytelling.
- Handle multiple design tasks and projects at once, prioritize according to business needs, and revise work efficiently based on stakeholder input.
What we’re looking for
- At least 3 years of experience in graphic design or visual design, ideally with exposure to B2B technology or fintech settings.
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with knowledge of web-friendly design practices such as image optimization and responsive layouts.
- A strong portfolio showing creativity and consistency across digital ads, printed pieces, and web graphics.
- Solid understanding of branding fundamentals and experience either building or working within defined brand guidelines.
- Ability to turn complex ideas into simple, visually effective graphics, particularly for fintech-related topics.
- Careful attention to detail and a strong quality standard, including the ability to review and check your own work.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to receive feedback positively and explain design decisions when necessary.
