We are seeking a skilled Videographer & Producer who combines strong technical camera expertise with effective production management abilities. This dual role demands proficiency in camera operation coupled with organizational talents to oversee pre-production logistics and ensure smooth on-site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cameras with technical precision, managing secondary angles, cutaways, and B-roll footage on larger productions, including setting up cameras, lighting, and audio, while matching visual styles.
- Independently manage simpler projects as a solo videographer handling camera, basic lighting, and sound arrangements.
- Take ownership of the preparation, organization, and maintenance of all camera, audio, and lighting equipment for every shoot.
- Lead pre-production duties such as creating shooting schedules, run sheets, call sheets, and parts of the creative process.
- Coordinate location bookings, site inspections, gear lists, safety and risk assessments, and talent release documentation.
- Translate client briefs into workable visual plans and shot lists while overseeing client communication and project timelines within management tools.
- Coordinate and schedule external freelancers or specialized crew as necessary.
- Manage on-set production operations to maintain shooting schedules and client needs, including some talent direction and troubleshooting.
- Serve as the main operational liaison on set among clients, senior crew, talent, and vendors, ensuring continuity and resolving issues calmly.
- Maintain professional, clear communication with clients throughout projects, managing expectations about schedules, logistics, and production realities.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 5+ years of practical experience in video production encompassing live-action and social media content.
- Strong technical skills in camera operation, lighting setups, audio recording, and equipment maintenance.
- Experience working solo as a videographer on basic setups is highly beneficial.
- Expertise in developing call sheets, shooting schedules, location planning, and equipment lists.
- Familiarity with project management software such as ClickUp and budget tracking using Excel is a plus but not mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of social video formats, aspect ratios, and delivery specifications.
