Job description
About XDS
XDS is the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world by total volume and the leading maker of carbon-fiber frames. The company is entering the U.S. market for the first time through X-LAB, its in-house performance bicycle brand built for international growth. Backed by large-scale manufacturing, decades of expertise in carbon and alloy materials, and full vertical integration, XDS aims to reshape the economics of cycling for both riders and bike retailers.
Founded in 1995, the business brings together proprietary material science, strong design, and highly automated production to deliver millions of bikes each year across road, mountain, gravel, city, and e-bike categories, along with hundreds of thousands of carbon frames from one of the world’s largest dedicated carbon-fiber bike facilities. Its portfolio also includes more than 300 international patents covering advanced carbon construction and proprietary aluminum alloys. The company has supported leading Western brands through OEM partnerships and is now building its own premium brand for global markets.
By 2026, X-LAB has launched with a fully U.S.-based team of experienced leaders and industry veterans. The company is actively building its next stage of growth.
Role overview
XDS is looking for a Videographer and Content Producer to support its expansion in North America. In this role, you will be the visual storyteller shaping how riders, dealers, and fans experience the energy and performance of X-LAB bikes. You will manage video production from the first field capture through to final edits ready for large-scale marketing use.
This position suits someone who blends creativity with technical skill: someone equally confident filming in challenging outdoor conditions and refining a story in post-production. You will work alongside marketing, product, and athlete teams to help define a visual style that feels fast, rugged, and premium.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for building video content that supports campaigns, launches, and brand storytelling across multiple channels.
- Plan, shoot, and edit video content for campaigns, tutorials, lifestyle shoots, testimonials, and events, including logistics, equipment setup, and direction on location.
- Record drone and action footage of X-LAB bikes in urban, suburban, and outdoor environments.
- Convert longer videos into short-form edits optimized for social media platforms.
- Handle post-production work such as story structure, sound design, color correction/grading, and motion graphics for social, web, retail, and event content.
- Turn marketing goals into video assets and supporting content that highlight X-LAB’s performance, technology, and cycling culture.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to support go-to-market plans and product launches.
- Organize and maintain a structured library of raw footage and completed assets for global reuse.
- Keep up with trends in action-sports videography and production technology, continuously introducing fresh ideas to improve the brand’s visual output.
What you need
- At least 3 years of professional videography experience, particularly in action sports such as cycling, MTB, moto, or similar environments.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates technical strength in cinematography, dynamic action capture, and narrative editing.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and standard tools for color and audio finishing.
- Hands-on experience managing the full production workflow, from storyboarding and location scouting to export.
- Solid knowledge of lighting, camera equipment, and tools such as gimbals, drones, and action cameras for safely filming fast-moving subjects.
- Comfort working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and adjusting quickly to changing field conditions.
Preferred background
- Strong familiarity with cycling culture, the industry, and standout athletes in the sport.
- Experience in studio production, product photography, or lighting for commercial shoots.
- Genuine interest in gear, technology, and current production trends.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a competitive salary, access to a demo bike fleet, generous time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, and office space in Santa Monica, California.
Equal opportunity
XDS is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity. The company is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace for all team members.
Compensation range
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $100,000 per year.
