Role Overview
This role is for a Video Producer / Video Content Manager based in Ireland, responsible for harnessing video as a key growth tool for a global digital product with a broad and engaged audience. Operating fully remotely and asynchronously, the role involves ownership and end-to-end management of video production from planning and scripting to distribution, optimization, and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire video production lifecycle including strategy development, script creation, coordination of production activities, publishing, and continuous content optimization.
- Write video scripts focused on capturing audience attention, ensuring engaging spoken content and platform-specific success.
- Oversee a network of freelance presenters by delivering clear briefs and feedback to maintain high-quality production.
- Manage external video editors, assessing creative output and giving direction to optimize workflows.
- Design scalable content production systems to repurpose videos across multiple platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, social media, advertising channels, and product-related outlets.
- Drive channel growth strategies covering content planning, scheduling, audience development, and innovative format experiments.
- Apply video SEO best practices including optimized titles, thumbnails, metadata, and descriptions to boost reach and engagement.
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor video performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and make data-informed content decisions.
- Analyze metrics such as click-through rates, watch time, and retention to enhance future video content quality and engagement.
- Continuously experiment with hooks, intros, content structure, and video formats to elevate audience interaction.
- Explore new video formats including webinars, product demos, short-form clips, and performance advertising material.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years' professional experience in video production, marketing, or content creation, ideally with educational, technical, or product-related videos.
- Demonstrated success in expanding video channels or significant contributions to notable channel growth supported by clear results.
- Exceptional scriptwriting abilities aimed at video audiences.
- A producer’s approach emphasizing the development of efficient, scalable workflows beyond single-project management.
- Experience managing remote creative freelancers including presenters and video editors.
- Strong familiarity with video analytics tools and leveraging data to drive content performance enhancements.
- Skill in diagnosing performance issues such as low engagement or audience drop-off and applying effective optimization techniques.
- Keen visual sensibility concerning thumbnails, pacing, editing quality, and sustained viewer engagement.
- Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills suited to independent remote work.
- Comfortable navigating and interpreting analytics and content platform data to inform strategic decisions.
- Preferred but not required: video editing skills for producing quick turnaround content, experience with crypto, fintech or tech industry content, and background in producing video ads or localized content for diverse markets.
