Role overview
This is a remote contractor role focused on high-precision video annotation. You will work on short video clips, marking recurring events in line with project-specific rules and producing clear, reliable labels for downstream use.
Compensation and commitment
The pay rate is $65 to $80 per hour. The expected workload is flexible, ranging from 10 to 40 hours each week.
Work location
This opportunity is open to candidates based in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
What you will do
- Detect repeated events in short video segments and separate them according to the project instructions.
- Record exact beginning and ending timestamps for every identified event.
- Write brief, accurate, and uniform descriptions for each annotation.
- Maintain a high standard of quality and consistency across all submitted labels.
- Communicate in writing and verbally to confirm requirements and resolve any unclear points.
- Self-review your work and update annotations when project guidance changes.
What we are looking for
- Strong English fluency at a native or near-native level, both spoken and written.
- Prior hands-on exposure to video annotation, content moderation, writing, video editing, videography, or a similar field.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy in data labeling.
- Comfort with detailed annotation rules and the ability to adapt quickly when feedback is provided.
- Experience with AI training work or machine learning data labeling is considered an advantage.
