About the Role

A partner company is seeking a Vice President of Talent Management based in the United States. This executive leadership position spearheads enterprise-wide talent strategies aiming to bolster organizational capability, leadership effectiveness, and workforce readiness. The role encompasses leading initiatives such as succession planning, leadership development, learning strategies, performance management, and analytics around talent.

Collaborating closely with senior executives and HR partners, this position shapes how organizations develop, retain, and prepare their workforce for future demands. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight and lead operational execution of enterprise talent and learning initiatives aligned with business goals and future workforce requirements.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive talent management and learning approaches enhancing leadership skills, employee development, and organizational performance.
  • Design and expand enterprise programs including succession planning, leadership and career development, performance management, talent assessments, and initiatives for high-potential employees.
  • Collaboratively engage with executive leaders and HR partners to pinpoint critical talent priorities, capability gaps, and opportunities for growth.
  • Manage succession planning and talent review cycles, including pipeline assessments, readiness evaluations, and executive calibration sessions.
  • Establish leadership competency frameworks and learning solutions addressing current and projected organizational needs.
  • Drive enterprise learning and development strategies that yield measurable gains in skills, performance, and workforce preparedness.
  • Boost employee engagement, retention, internal mobility, and professional growth with impactful developmental programs.
  • Enhance performance management practices to facilitate stronger accountability and developmental discussions among leaders.
  • Utilize workforce analytics and organizational metrics to assess program effectiveness and guide executive decisions.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and business leaders to ensure integrated people strategies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on talent strategy, leadership development, and organizational capability enhancement.
  • Lead and mentor teams responsible for talent and learning initiatives, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Over 12 years of progressive leadership experience in talent management, learning and development, or HR roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related discipline is required; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of direct involvement in key talent management areas: succession planning, leadership development, learning strategies, performance management, and talent assessment.
  • Proven record of managing enterprise-wide talent strategies in large, complex, and dynamic organizations.
  • Strong aptitude to influence senior leadership and facilitate intricate conversations on talent matters.
  • Successful track record in designing and implementing scalable learning and development programs.
  • Familiarity with learning technologies, LMS, and workforce capability development initiatives is beneficial.
  • Deep knowledge of talent analytics, workforce insights, skills development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with operational delivery to realize measurable business results.
  • Experience adapting to fast-changing business environments and priorities.
  • Robust business acumen with talent strategies aligned to organizational objectives.
  • U.S. Citizenship is a mandatory requirement.
