Role Overview

We are looking for a visionary and results-oriented Vice President of Sales for the APAC region. This leader will craft and implement an all-encompassing sales strategy focused on driving revenue growth and expanding market presence. The ideal candidate will have an established network of senior decision-makers within APAC's mobile wallets, digital financial services, and mobile network operators, along with demonstrated success in forming strategic partnerships and scaling business initiatives. This role ensures alignment with Optasia's global commercial objectives while spearheading business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a robust sales plan across APAC, targeting steady revenue increase and sustainable market development.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business avenues, partnerships, and industry verticals to broaden Optasia's product adoption in key APAC markets.
  • Build and nurture relationships with major stakeholders including MNOs, fintechs, digital banks, financial institutions, enterprise clients, partners, and regulators.
  • Lead and grow the regional sales unit, fostering a culture of accountability, clear KPIs, and disciplined pipeline management.
  • Work in close partnership with Product, Marketing, Operations, Delivery, and Finance teams to devise customized solutions tailored to client needs and market conditions.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor actions, and regulatory changes across APAC and translate insights into strategic commercial initiatives.
  • Represent the company at various industry gatherings to enhance brand awareness and position Optasia as an innovator in fintech and embedded finance.
  • Deliver regular sales performance briefings to executive leadership detailing progress, pipeline health, forecasts, risks, and mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to prepare executive presentations, business cases, service documentation, proposals, and tenders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • More than 10 years of progressive sales and business development experience, including a minimum of 5 years focused on APAC strategic partnerships.
  • Robust expertise in B2B2X business models with proven success engaging mobile wallets, fintech, digital banks, MNOs, and finance ecosystems.
  • Established leadership experience in APAC sales, preferably within fintech, telecommunications, mobile financial services, digital offerings, or AI-driven fintech.
  • Thorough knowledge of APAC's market characteristics, regulatory frameworks, cultural diversity, and complexities of regional market strategies.
  • Proven capability in building and managing high-performing sales teams within dynamic and matrixed organizations.
  • A strategic thinker with practical execution skills and the ability to transform uncertainty into actionable commercial plans.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and executive presentation abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake frequent travel across the APAC region.
