Role overview
SunVx is seeking a senior project leadership executive to own project governance, portfolio steering, and the delivery of major strategic initiatives. The role is responsible for building an enterprise-wide project management framework and ensuring that core programs are executed with discipline, consistency, and measurable business impact. Success in this position means keeping critical projects on time, within budget, and aligned to the company’s strategic and commercial objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Create the company’s project management strategy and long-term operating plan.
- Set up and lead an enterprise PMO along with a strong governance structure.
- Design standardized methods and workflows for the full project lifecycle.
- Continuously improve project tools, processes, and management systems.
- Oversee project portfolio management and decide how initiatives are prioritized.
- Assess strategic alignment, project importance, and resource impact for each initiative.
- Improve how budgets and resources are allocated across the portfolio.
- Make sure project spending and investment choices support business goals.
- Direct high-impact company projects such as digital transformation, system enhancements, and new business launches.
- Define milestones, stage-gate reviews, and delivery checkpoints for major programs.
- Drive execution so projects meet schedule, quality, and cost targets.
- Identify blockers, manage escalations, and resolve execution risks quickly.
- Coordinate across product, engineering, operations, marketing, and finance teams.
- Align stakeholders around shared goals and support effective collaboration.
- Establish communication, decision-making, and escalation paths for projects.
- Strengthen organizational execution through improved coordination and accountability.
- Build project KPI dashboards and performance measurement systems.
- Track progress, costs, quality, and resource utilization across programs.
- Lead project reviews and convert findings into continuous improvements.
- Prepare regular updates for the CEO or executive team on project status and business impact.
- Lead and develop PMO and project management teams.
- Create a capability framework and talent pipeline for project managers.
- Promote formal methods and professional standards, including PMP and agile practices.
- Shape a results-driven, high-accountability project culture.
- Set up a process for project risk identification and early warning.
- Manage risks related to budgets, contracts, delivery, and operations.
- Ensure project work follows internal policies and relevant industry standards.
- Protect the company’s brand reputation and customer confidence through strong execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in project management, engineering management, business administration, or a related discipline.
- PMP, PgMP, or another relevant project management certification is preferred.
- MBA is considered an advantage.
- More than 20 years of experience in project management or integrated operations management.
- At least 15 years spent leading large, complex projects or PMO functions.
- Proven background in delivering cross-functional and multi-region initiatives.
- Experience with digital transformation or enterprise-level project management is preferred.
- Ability to translate strategy into execution and drive outcomes through structured governance.
- Strong project portfolio management and enterprise project governance expertise.
- Excellent analytical thinking, issue-solving, and risk management capability.
- Strong collaboration, resource integration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Senior-level leadership and organizational management experience.
- Preferred exposure to large conglomerates or multinational organizations.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, platform modernization, agile delivery, or SAFe is a plus.
- Experience presenting major project updates to a CEO or Board of Directors is preferred.
