About the Role

Leadenhall Search & Selection is collaborating with an employee-owned boutique investment bank and valuation advisory firm to recruit a Vice President for its expanding Valuation & Financial Advisory division. The firm is recognized for delivering independent, high-caliber valuation, financial advisory, and investment banking solutions, blending the broad expertise of a larger platform with the nimbleness and cooperative culture typical of a boutique.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead intricate business and security valuation projects spanning diverse industries and asset types.
  • Manage client engagements from initial project scope through to the final delivery of work.
  • Review and supervise complex financial models and valuation reports related to financial reporting, transaction opinions, and tax-based assignments.
  • Valuate various financial instruments such as preferred and common equity, warrants, options, convertible notes, debt instruments, and structured securities.
  • Mentor and guide Associates and Senior Associates, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Contribute to business development by engaging in proposal discussions, pricing strategies, client presentations, and relationship cultivation.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership on initiatives to develop the practice and enhance valuation methodologies continuously.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in valuation roles within valuation advisory, financial advisory, Big Four firms, investment banking, or specialized valuation practices.
  • Strong background in business valuations, financial reporting valuations, and transaction-related assignments.
  • Proficiency with various valuation techniques such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), public and transaction comparables, Option Pricing Model (OPM), Probability Weighted Expected Return Method (PWERM), and other advanced valuation methods.
  • Experience in preparing or reviewing complex financial models and valuation reports.
  • Excellent client-facing skills alongside effective project management and communication abilities.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ASA are considered highly advantageous.
