Role overview
This opportunity is for a partner company that handles all applications and follow-up steps directly. The hiring organization is seeking a Vice President of Partnerships in the United States to lead a strategic, high-impact partner ecosystem within a SaaS platform that supports the education sector.
The position calls for an executive who can shape partnerships strategy at a broad level while also driving day-to-day execution. You will build and scale programs across channel partners, resellers, ISVs, and technology alliances, with a strong focus on revenue growth, integrations, and co-selling motions. This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product to expand reach, strengthen customer value, and improve outcomes for K-12 districts nationwide.
Key accountabilities
- Create and implement a partner and channel strategy that supports the company’s overall growth goals.
- Source, evaluate, onboard, and activate channel partners, resellers, ISVs, and alliance partners.
- Design scalable partner programs, including incentives, enablement structures, and ways to measure performance.
- Lead joint planning, co-selling efforts, and partner-driven revenue generation.
- Develop an early-stage ISV ecosystem with partnership motions that can be repeated and expanded.
- Assess and manage integration partners that increase product capability and customer value.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Marketing to align go-to-market priorities and ensure partner success.
- Monitor partner results, pipeline contribution, and ecosystem impact, then report key findings.
- Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, and strategic partner meetings.
- Build and strengthen technology alliances that support both direct and indirect sales channels.
Required background
- At least 7 years of experience in partnerships, channel sales, or business development in a SaaS or software setting.
- A demonstrated history of growing partner ecosystems that produce measurable revenue gains.
- Solid understanding of indirect sales, channel models, and partner-led growth approaches.
- Experience creating and rolling out partner programs, incentives, and enablement initiatives.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills at the executive level.
- A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution in fast-moving environments.
- Comfort using CRM and partner management systems to track activity, performance, and pipeline influence.
- Ability to work effectively across Product, Sales, and Marketing in cross-functional teams.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation for a senior executive-level role.
- Full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) matching.
- Generous PTO plus flexible work arrangements.
- The chance to build a partnerships function from the ground up and scale it significantly.
- Mission-focused work that supports K-12 education and operational improvement for schools across the country.
- A collaborative environment where contributions and ideas are valued throughout the organization.
- Strong emphasis on both professional and personal development within a fast-growing SaaS business.
