Role overview
Biotecnologia para Todos is hiring a full-time, remote Vice President of Technical Operations in the United States. This senior leadership position is responsible for setting the technical direction and ensuring smooth execution across IT, manufacturing, and wider operational programs.
What you'll do
The role focuses on managing the organization’s daily technical activities, tracking project progress, improving processes, and making sure operations stay aligned with regulatory and quality expectations. You will work closely with leaders across functions to set priorities, assign resources effectively, and strengthen systems, workflows, and production environments through ongoing improvement.
You will also be expected to develop and guide high-performing technical teams, define meaningful performance measures, support organizational objectives, and contribute to long-term, scalable growth. Additional responsibilities include identifying and managing risks, coordinating with vendors, and applying proven practices in biotechnology operations and digital infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Deep experience managing IT functions, including infrastructure, core systems, and technology planning.
- Background in leading complex projects and programs involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong leadership history with the ability to coach, build, and grow technical or operational teams.
- Working knowledge of GMP and the ability to apply quality and compliance requirements in lab or production settings.
- Prior experience in biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or a comparable technical field.
- Ability to perform well in a remote setup and communicate clearly with teams spread across locations.
- Strategic, analytical, and metrics-driven approach to decision-making and operational improvement.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, biotechnology, or a similar technical discipline; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Exposure to change management and continuous improvement methods such as Lean or Six Sigma is considered an advantage.
