Job Overview
The Vice President of Supply Chain will lead the end-to-end supply network for a jewelry business, with accountability for strategic direction and day-to-day operational performance. The role covers procurement, supplier management, production coordination, logistics, quality assurance, and cost control to keep operations efficient, deliveries reliable, and growth on track in the high-end jewelry market.
Strategic Planning and Supply Chain Leadership
Build medium- and long-range supply chain strategies aligned to business goals. Improve global sourcing systems and supply network efficiency, while advancing digital tools and process automation across the supply chain.
Supply Chain and Operations Management
Own the full jewelry supply chain setup, including purchasing, supplier coordination, production alignment, logistics, and delivery. Strengthen inventory planning, reduce supply chain costs, and maintain dependable supply and strong delivery performance.
Procurement and Supplier Management
Create and manage a worldwide supplier base. Assess supplier performance, refine vendor relationships, and support strategic sourcing initiatives that build long-term partnerships.
Production and Delivery Coordination
Work closely with production teams to set schedules and execute orders smoothly. Support stable manufacturing timelines, consistent delivery cycles, and faster response across the supply chain.
Quality and Risk Management
Set up a quality management framework for the supply chain. Track operational risks, prepare response plans, and ensure the organization meets applicable industry standards and requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with procurement, production, logistics, quality, and sales teams to keep the supply chain running seamlessly from end to end. Introduce standardized workflows and continuous improvement practices across functions.
Qualifications
Applicants should bring 10 to 20 years of experience in supply chain work or in the jewelry/luxury goods sector, including more than 5 years in a senior supply chain leadership role such as Director or higher. Strong knowledge of complete supply chain systems is required, and international sourcing or global supply chain exposure is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have strong strategic thinking, execution ability, and commercial judgment.
