Role Overview
The Vice President of Strategy is a part-time, remote leadership position focused on defining and steering the company’s long-range direction. The role centers on spotting expansion opportunities, reviewing market and competitor trends, and turning insights into practical strategic plans that support business objectives.
What You Will Do
- Lead recurring strategic planning efforts and help set priorities for the organization.
- Study market conditions, competitors, and growth trends to identify new opportunities.
- Work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to assess new initiatives and improve existing programs.
- Create executive-ready presentations, recommendations, and decision support materials.
- Evaluate the financial impact of strategic choices and advise on business-case assumptions.
- Track key performance indicators to measure progress against strategic goals.
- Provide advisory support to internal stakeholders on strategy-related decisions.
- Contribute to digital strategy efforts that improve organizational performance and broaden reach.
Qualifications
- Strong ability to analyze data, break down complex problems, and translate findings into actionable guidance.
- Hands-on experience building, executing, and refining multi-year strategic roadmaps.
- Consulting background with the confidence to guide leaders, facilitate discussions, and build alignment across teams.
- Good working knowledge of finance for evaluating business cases and forecasting outcomes.
- Understanding of digital strategy, including the use of digital tools, platforms, and data to support growth.
- Established leadership and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for executive presentations and reports.
- Prior experience in a senior strategy role such as Director or Vice President, with evidence of measurable outcomes.
- Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent experience is also acceptable.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and coordinate effectively across time zones and functions.
