Role Overview
The Vice President of Strategic Projects is a fully remote, full-time leader accountable for directing significant initiatives that support Shiv Financial Institution's long-term strategic and operational goals. Responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of cross-departmental projects like product launches, process enhancements, technology rollouts, and programs addressing regulatory and risk concerns. The role demands defining project scopes and milestones, managing budgets and timelines, collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders, and ensuring strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and management of major cross-functional projects including technology implementations and regulatory programs.
- Define clear project scopes, timelines, budgets, and milestones aligned with corporate objectives.
- Coordinate with executives and key stakeholders to maintain strategic alignment and project governance.
- Analyze data and market trends for informed decision-making and continuous improvement in project delivery.
- Provide comprehensive progress reporting, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support organizational change management and facilitate the uptake of initiatives across departments.
- Mentor project teams and encourage collaboration between business and technical groups.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven expertise in strategic project leadership, program and portfolio management in financial or related sectors.
- Strong business analysis, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making skills to evaluate initiatives and measure results.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and PMO practices.
- Background in financial products, risk management, regulatory compliance, or operations, with cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities for executive interaction and team collaboration.
- Track record of leading and developing teams, driving organizational transformation, and building consensus in geographically dispersed environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline; advanced credentials like MBA or PMP preferred.
- Familiarity with digital tools, fintech solutions, and a strong interest in innovation and continual process enhancement.
