About the Company

The client is a prominent computer vision firm offering a comprehensive platform that empowers enterprises to swiftly train and implement automated visual inspection across diverse imaging sources such as EO, IR, X-Ray, CT, OCT, among others. Amid the rising adoption of artificial intelligence, the company focuses on democratizing computer vision by enabling domain specialists to create and deploy models without coding expertise. With $33.5 million raised, their solutions span manufacturing, security, and industrial IoT sectors, revolutionizing approaches to quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Role Overview

The Vice President of Sales will spearhead the global sales enablement team, equipping enterprise sales personnel with the necessary training, resources, and methodologies to excel in sophisticated, technical transactions primarily within manufacturing markets. This influential and hands-on leadership role involves collaborating closely with sales leadership, product teams, marketing, and engineering functions to develop and execute an enablement strategy that accelerates onboarding, enhances win rates, and standardizes performance across the salesforce. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position demands profound knowledge of manufacturing technologies, protocols, and systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales enablement strategy aligned with overall revenue objectives.
  • Design and maintain scalable onboarding and continual training processes for Enterprise Account Executives (AEs).
  • Define key performance metrics such as ramp-up durations, win ratios, deal sizing, and quota fulfillment to evaluate enablement effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership to pinpoint skill deficiencies and enhance team performance.
  • Create and present onboarding and ongoing skill development programs focusing on discovery, qualification, deal strategy, negotiations, and executive communications.
  • Conduct role plays, call evaluations, deal workshops, and provide individualized coaching on active enterprise deals.
  • Educate sales teams on manufacturing industry terminology, standards, equipment, and workflows.
  • Provide training on computer vision, artificial intelligence/machine learning concepts, and relevant manufacturing applications.
  • Work alongside Field Applications Engineers to strengthen technical proficiency within the sales team.
  • Craft enablement content tailored to specific industrial verticals such as automotive, metals, and electronics.
  • Implement standardized enterprise sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, Challenger) and best practices for pipeline oversight and forecasting.
  • Create and update sales collateral including playbooks, pitch decks, ROI calculators, and competitive battlecards.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to align messaging and positioning.
  • Research and adopt modern sales enablement tools and platforms.
  • Analyze sales data to derive actionable insights for improving win rates, sales cycles, and deal sizes.
  • Drive adoption and consistent application of sales methodologies and tools across teams.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 7 to 12 years’ experience in enterprise SaaS sales with demonstrated success in growing and leading sales teams.
  • Proven background in supporting enterprise sales targeting manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Experience in scaling sales teams from small groups (e.g., 2 members) to large organizations (e.g., 30 members).
  • Extensive selling experience to industrial clients and expertise in consultative, value-based sales methodologies.
  • Strong coaching abilities and track record of developing high-performing sales staff.
  • Experienced in managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling capabilities combined with a data-driven analytical mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in computer vision, AI/ML, data platforms, manufacturing or industrial markets, automation technologies (MES, SCADA, sensors), previous roles as Enterprise Account Executive or Sales Leader, familiarity with MEDDICC, Challenger Sale frameworks, and building enablement functions from inception.

Success Indicators

  • Significant reduction in onboarding ramp time for new Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Increased win rates and quota performance.
  • Larger average deal sizes and enhanced pipeline conversion metrics.
  • Strong adoption of sales methodologies, tools, and consistent sales process execution.
  • Positive sales team feedback regarding enablement program effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $250,000 to $300,000 annually.
  • On-target earnings between $450,000 and $500,000.
  • Stock options offered.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with fully paid premiums.
  • Gym membership reimbursement.
  • Opportunity to play a pivotal role influencing how enterprise AI solutions are marketed and sold in the manufacturing domain.
