Role overview
This is a full-time remote leadership opportunity for a Vice President of Purchasing. The position carries overall responsibility for the company’s procurement function, including how suppliers are selected, how contracts are negotiated, and how purchasing strategies are built to improve cost, quality, and delivery outcomes.
The role partners closely with teams across supply chain, operations, finance, and sales to ensure buying plans support business goals and customer expectations. It also requires active oversight of purchasing performance, budget management, process enhancement, supply continuity risk, and compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Key focus areas
- Direct the organization’s purchasing and procurement operations.

Qualifications

- Experience working with sales teams to align purchasing plans with demand and customer requirements.
- Proven leadership experience overseeing cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives in procurement or supply chain settings.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound decision-making skills, with familiarity using procurement and ERP platforms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a remote environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline is expected; an advanced degree or certifications such as CPSM or CSCP are advantageous.
