Role Summary

The Vice President of Projects is a full-time remote leadership position focused on guiding strategic programs and cross-functional initiatives from early planning through delivery. This leader will manage project and program managers, set the standards for project execution, and make sure work stays aligned with business priorities, product direction, and operational needs. The role includes deciding what comes first, shaping scope and schedules, coordinating budgets and resources, and clearing roadblocks that could affect delivery.

Key Focus Areas

• Lead a team of project and program managers while setting clear expectations and performance standards.
• Oversee strategic programs and complex initiatives that involve multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Align delivery plans with business goals, product plans, and operational execution.
• Define scope, milestones, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for major projects.
• Remove blockers and help teams stay on track for successful delivery.
• Partner with executive leadership, product, engineering, compliance, customer success, and sales teams on cross-functional work.
• Create reporting structures and success metrics to track progress and outcomes.
• Improve project execution through better processes, tools, and operating frameworks.
• Coach and mentor team members on communication, risk handling, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing complex cross-functional programs in a technology or SaaS environment, preferably within a high-growth or distributed company. They should have a strong track record of building and developing project management teams, including mentoring, standard-setting, and performance oversight. Solid capability in governance, portfolio management, resource planning, budgeting, and risk control is required, along with experience turning executive priorities into clear delivery roadmaps. The role also calls for success in working with senior stakeholders and communicating progress, trade-offs, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or scaled delivery models and the ability to implement supporting tools and workflows is important. This position suits someone who is comfortable in a fully remote, globally distributed environment and can work independently while collaborating effectively. Experience in fintech, regtech, compliance, financial services, or digital assets/crypto is highly desirable, though a strong ability to learn complex regulatory areas quickly is also valued. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline is expected, and an advanced degree such as an MBA is considered an advantage.
