Role Overview

The Vice President of Project Management is a full-time remote position focused on overseeing strategic projects and programs that align with Abbott Hotel’s operational and guest service goals. This senior role involves leading the lifecycle of multiple cross-departmental initiatives to ensure they are delivered within the established timeline, scope, and budget.

Core Responsibilities

Define project goals, establish schedules, and manage diverse project teams.
Collaborate with department leaders to coordinate efforts and monitor progress toward key milestones.
Develop and maintain project management best practices and standards.
Prepare detailed status updates and reports for senior leadership.
Identify and mitigate risks and interdependencies affecting projects.
Drive continuous improvement in the methodologies and processes used in project delivery.
Engage with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing guest experiences.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Strong expertise in project management including planning, executing, and risk mitigation techniques.
Proven ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously.
Advanced analytical skills to evaluate project outcomes, detect patterns, and facilitate informed decision-making.
Experience managing budgets and resources effectively to optimize financial and human capital.
Experience in hospitality or service-related industries is an asset.
Established leadership skills encompassing team management, effective communication with stakeholders, and promoting collaboration across departments.
Capability to excel in a remote working environment with excellent organization and time-management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, hospitality, or related disciplines is required. Professional certifications such as PMP or PgMP or an advanced degree are favorable.
