About the Role
The Vice President of Product Management will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive product roadmap at Freenome, focusing on three main domains: assay development, digital health, and the data platform. This position partners closely with company leaders to shape a product strategy that integrates AI and agent technologies, enhancing early cancer detection and improving patient access.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define and steer the product roadmap focused on personalized care, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team and Chief Product Officer, leveraging deep AI and agent-based strategies.
- Manage and inspire a team of product and technical managers, setting a clear vision that promotes innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
- Mentor a multidisciplinary team, encouraging a culture of growth and ongoing learning.
- Design and execute robust product strategies covering market research, development, and lifecycle oversight.
- Utilize clinical and scientific market insights to guide strategic priorities for product portfolios and development.
- Own the product portfolio roadmap, balancing scientific, commercial, regulatory, market access, clinical, and patient considerations.
- Lead decision-making processes defining R&D and product pipeline priorities aligned with business goals.
- Use strategic frameworks and data-driven analyses to inform product-related decisions and priorities.
- Architect AI automation and agent-powered workflows within the product strategy.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to receive continuous feedback for product enhancement.
- Monitor market trends, competitor actions, and customer feedback to identify innovation opportunities.
- Define and track KPIs related to product success and customer satisfaction, leveraging data to drive improvements.
- Represent Freenome at industry events and as a thought leader in product management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in product management; management consulting background is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years in leadership roles, with proven success in building and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience in oncology, primary care, and consumer healthcare environments.
- Track record of launching in vitro diagnostic products in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Strong knowledge of the diagnostics market including regulatory requirements, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior.
- Proven success in developing and launching competitive market products.
- Expertise in customer experience principles with demonstrated ability in leading customer-centered initiatives.
- Outstanding leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as required to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary target for this role in the U.S. ranges from $293,550 to $383,775. Eligible candidates will also receive equity options, cash bonuses, and comprehensive medical and financial benefits tailored to the position. Final compensation is at the company's discretion and depends on factors such as location, expertise, experience, and education.
