Vice President of Procurement

Role Overview

The Vice President of Procurement is a fully remote, permanent position charged with leading the comprehensive procurement strategy and operational execution at Lono Cove. This executive role encompasses managing the entire procurement lifecycle, from supplier selection to contract negotiation and ongoing vendor oversight, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services is both cost-efficient and meets quality standards in support of recreational facilities and associated operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and enforce procurement policies and guidelines.
• Oversee supplier relationships and contract negotiations to maintain favorable terms and compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align procurement budgeting and demand forecasts.
• Drive continuous improvement and identify strategic sourcing prospects.
• Manage supply risk mitigation efforts.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the procurement team.
• Partner with senior executives to ensure procurement aligns with business goals and long-term growth strategies.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge in procurement and supply chain management focused on sourcing strategies, inventory control, and vendor performance assessment.
• Proven ability in contract negotiation and management with a track record of securing advantageous and compliant agreements.
• Experience in developing supplier capabilities and fostering strong partnerships.
• Leadership experience managing procurement or supply chain teams and influencing cross-departmental stakeholders.
• Strong financial and analytical skills including budgeting, cost analysis, and performance measurement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills suitable for remote work across multiple time zones.
• Preferably experience within hospitality, leisure, or service sectors; international supplier experience is an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related discipline; advanced degrees or certifications like CIPS or CPSM are favorable.
