About the Role
As the Vice President of Procurement at Guru Kripa Design Studio, you will take charge of strategic procurement leadership, overseeing all aspects of the organization's global purchasing processes. This high-impact executive role requires exceptional expertise in devising procurement strategies, managing suppliers worldwide, and optimizing supply chain efficiencies to support rapid growth within the industry, with a particular focus on jewelry and luxury goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and optimization of comprehensive global procurement strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Develop and continuously improve procurement systems, processes, and global supply networks.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain collaborative relationships with domestic and international suppliers for materials such as precious metals, gemstones, packaging, and related resources.
- Establish and advance supplier evaluation protocols focused on continuous quality and delivery improvement.
- Set annual procurement budgets and plans, focusing on cost efficiency and capital management.
- Synchronize procurement functions with internal teams from production, logistics, quality control, and operations to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Analyze global market trends and supply chain performance data to inform and implement optimization strategies, including the creation of relevant KPIs.
- Identify procurement risks, establishing preventive and emergency response mechanisms to ensure operational stability and compliance with regulations.
Desired Qualifications
- 20 to 25 years of professional background in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields, with at least 8 years in senior leadership (Director or higher).
- Demonstrated knowledge in procurement within the jewelry or luxury goods sector is highly desirable.
- Experience with international procurement, global supply chain management, or cross-border sourcing is advantageous.
- Exceptional abilities in strategic planning, negotiation, supplier relationship management, communication, coordination, and execution.
