Job Overview
The Vice President of Procurement will lead the company’s sourcing strategy and day-to-day procurement operations for its jewelry business. The role is centered on building a strong procurement framework, managing suppliers, controlling costs, improving quality coordination, and bringing in global sourcing resources to support reliable supply, cost efficiency, and long-term competitiveness in the premium jewelry supply chain.
Strategic Planning and Procurement Leadership
- Create and maintain the organization’s procurement strategy and medium-to-long-range sourcing roadmap.
- Strengthen the global supplier base and refine the procurement operating model.
- Align procurement capabilities with broader business growth objectives.
Supply Chain and Procurement Operations
- Oversee sourcing of jewelry raw materials such as diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, and related accessories.
- Build, improve, and manage systems for supplier identification, assessment, and ongoing performance review.
- Reduce procurement costs while improving supply continuity and delivery performance.
Supplier Development and Market Expansion
- Source and develop high-quality suppliers and strategic partners across global markets.
- Build durable, long-term supply relationships that support the company’s needs.
- Broaden international sourcing channels and strengthen supply chain resilience through diversification.
Product, Cost, and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with design, production, and R&D teams to support cost control for new products.
- Contribute to product pricing decisions and improvements in cost structure.
- Coordinate with design, production, warehousing, logistics, and finance teams to keep procurement and production plans aligned.
- Promote standardized and digital procurement processes.
Risk, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement
- Oversee supply chain risk controls and procurement compliance practices.
- Ensure sourcing is lawful, compliant, and aligned with industry standards.
- Develop a quality-focused procurement control system with an ongoing improvement mindset.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings 10 to 20 years of procurement or supply chain management experience, preferably from the jewelry or luxury goods sector, along with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role at Director level or above. A strong command of global procurement models, supply chain operations, international sourcing, and luxury brand environments is highly valued. The role also calls for sharp strategic thinking, strong negotiation ability, and sound commercial judgment.
