Job description
About the Company
Seeking.com, STNDRDS, and Standards.com are part of a unified U.S. operating entity founded by an MIT alumni, headquartered in Las Vegas. Seeking.com is the world's largest premium dating platform. The company operates with 50 to 60 employees distributed between Las Vegas and remote locations nationwide, anticipating growth beyond 100 employees within a year, while remaining lean and leveraging AI for operational efficiency.
Role Overview
This position reports directly to the CEO and is a full-time, exempt leadership role charged with pioneering and managing people systems that distinctly differentiate the organization. It is designed for a mid-career operator passionate about the nexus of human psychology and systems design, aiming to build innovative organizational frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute People strategy across Seeking.com, STNDRDS, and Standards.com ensuring all initiatives link to measurable outcomes.
- Manage organizational structure, workforce planning, and monitor organizational health, team dynamics, and managerial effectiveness.
- Redesign the operational work model emphasizing leverage and outcomes, including hiring standards, onboarding processes, performance systems, and offboarding procedures.
- Develop and implement dual mandates: selection design to attract mission-first and performance-driven operators, and structural design to prevent burnout through principles like sufficiency, identity decoupling, immediate feedback, and optionality.
- Operationalize the Value Creator System, including metrics for contributions to revenue and profit share distribution.
- Design and maintain a transparent, outcome-based compensation architecture combining base salary with profit-sharing models.
- Replace traditional performance reviews with continuous, constructive feedback frameworks aligned with the organization's Certainty Framework principles.
- Establish and lead a manager excellence program focusing on creating productive, supportive environments for teams.
- Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, retention, career development, internal mobility, and dignified offboarding.
- Manage and refine the distributed workforce model to ensure effective remote-plus-Vegas operations.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to build a strong employer brand and scalable recruiting processes reflecting company culture.
- Lead and expand a compact People team; define future hiring needs with rigorous selection criteria.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership in People or HR functions, with at least 3 years at Director or Head-of-People level.
- Proven success in designing and implementing People systems from the ground up in startup or high-growth businesses.
- Extensive expertise in compensation design, performance management, talent development, organizational design, and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience creating and launching comprehensive manager development programs beyond standard training workshops.
- Strong analytical skills combined with an executive presence suited for a founder-led environment.
- Current proficiency with AI technologies and a thoughtful understanding of what it means to be an AI-native workplace.
- Experience managing a widely distributed, fully remote workforce at scale.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field required.
- Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees in Organizational or Industrial-Organizational Psychology or behavioral sciences, and experience crafting profit-sharing or outcome-based compensation models.
- Background in technology, high-growth, or premium consumer industry sectors is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary ranges from $160,000 to $250,000, depending on experience, representing a guaranteed floor. Profit-sharing incentives are designed to reward consistent, measurable value contributions, potentially increasing total compensation substantially. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, generous paid time off, and a fully remote work arrangement.
Additional Information
Location is U.S. remote with a strong preference for candidates near Las Vegas, NV. Seeking.com embraces equal opportunity employment and prioritizes mission over monetary reward in culture and compensation philosophy.
