Job description
Role overview
The Vice President of Operations is a part-time, remote leadership position responsible for strengthening the operational performance of Rede Nacional de Educação Cidadã. This role ensures that day-to-day execution supports the organization’s broader strategic objectives.
What you’ll do
You will guide operational planning, define and monitor key performance indicators, and improve how programs and initiatives are delivered. The position partners closely with leadership on budget oversight and profit-and-loss management, helps allocate resources effectively, and promotes ongoing improvements in service quality.
You will also coordinate cross-functional work, refine workflows, uphold strong service standards for stakeholders and customers, mentor operations team members, manage vendors and external partners when needed, and share regular updates and recommendations with executive leadership.
Qualifications
The role calls for deep experience in operations management, including building, rolling out, and improving processes across multiple functions. Candidates should be comfortable with strategic planning and project management, such as setting priorities, managing schedules, and delivering work within budget.
Experience with P&L oversight, financial tracking, and data-informed decision-making is important for supporting long-term organizational health. A strong customer-service mindset is also essential, especially when designing systems that improve satisfaction for stakeholders and participants.
Because this is a remote leadership role, prior experience leading distributed teams and using digital collaboration tools is expected. The position requires the ability to work part-time while still owning key operational targets and deadlines. Strong analytical ability, organization, and communication skills are needed to explain complex information clearly to different audiences.
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a similar field is required; an advanced degree or equivalent professional experience is considered a plus. Background in education, nonprofit, or social impact settings is highly advantageous.

This is a part-time remote role. No salary, stipend, or opening count was specified in the source.
