Job description
About the Role
Our client specializes in crafting premium, custom-made structures tailored for upscale residential and specialized commercial sectors. Known for precise engineering and an exceptional white-glove customer experience, the company operates manufacturing sites internationally and is rapidly expanding its US presence with nationwide shipping, warehousing, and installation capabilities. This newly established leadership position reports directly to a senior executive and is critical for developing the operational infrastructure to support continued growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire US operations lifecycle, including importation, customs compliance, warehousing, inventory planning, nationwide logistics, delivery, installation, and ongoing customer service.
- Accelerate order-to-installation timelines by proactively handling permitting, approvals, and site preparation alongside customers rather than passively awaiting actions.
- Revamp scheduling and workflow of the installation teams for enhanced throughput and to minimize travel and operational expenses across nationwide field staff.
- Establish and maintain a transparent and structured communication flow throughout the customer journey from order placement to installation and aftercare.
- Evaluate, mentor, and grow a high-performing operations team comprising both field and office personnel.
- Enhance collaboration with sales leadership to ensure smooth handoffs, aligned customer understanding, and effective communication protocols.
- Collaborate closely with the international parent firm to incorporate and adapt global best practices.
- Maintain full profit and loss accountability for US operations.
- Travel approximately 25% or more, including installation sites and customer locations nationwide and occasional international trips.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years in senior leadership roles within field installation, supply chain, logistics, or overall operations management in luxury B2C sectors.
- Hands-on experience managing international import and customs processes tied with US fulfillment operations.
- Proven leadership over complex, multi-location field service, assembly, or installation operations involving remote teams.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership and financial responsibility.
- Comfortable engaging directly with office, customer, and job-site environments—truly a hands-on operator.
- Record of designing and implementing new processes and successfully driving change.
- Willingness and capability to travel regularly within the US and occasionally abroad.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and passport.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working within international or UK-affiliated parent company structures.
- Background working in bespoke, custom-built, or high-consideration purchase industries instead of transactional retail.
- Experience scaling operations in fast-growing or investor-backed companies.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base annual salary ranging from $160,000 to $170,000, with potential for higher compensation for exceptional candidates.
- Annual performance-based bonus linked to company results.
- 401(k) plan featuring employer matching contributions.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance, partially funded by the employer.
- Paid time off including company-wide shutdown periods.
