Vice President of Operations

Position Overview

Aveniya is looking for a strategic and outcome-oriented Vice President of Operations to lead and enhance operational functions throughout the company. This role involves creating scalable procedures, promoting operational excellence, managing manufacturing and supply chain operations, and ensuring business goals are met efficiently.

This executive will work collaboratively with the CEO and teams such as engineering, product development, quality, finance, and commercial to convert innovative technologies into effective, scalable, and market-ready products. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with extensive experience in manufacturing operations, process optimization, quality assurance, supply chain management, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company expansion goals.
• Oversee daily operations across manufacturing, production, supply chain, logistics, facilities, and quality departments.
• Create and monitor performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish scalable operational systems that support rapid growth and product commercialization.
• Ensure manufacturing processes prioritize safety, quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Lead production planning and manage capacity effectively.
• Apply lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Enhance workflows, optimize equipment use, and refine production processes.
• Develop strategic sourcing and supplier management programs to secure critical materials and components.
• Maintain supply continuity and manage inventory balancing availability with working capital.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and nurture strong partnerships.
• Guarantee adherence to industry regulations, quality standards, and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to uphold robust quality management systems.
• Lead risk mitigation, process validation, and efforts to increase operational reliability.
• Cultivate a company culture emphasizing quality, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
• Manage operational budgets and forecasts, seeking cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
• Support strategic growth initiatives and commercialization strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Demonstrated success managing operations in high-growth sectors like technology, manufacturing, medical devices, industrial, or advanced materials.
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality management, and operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale operational projects.
• Superior analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.

• Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree (MBA, Engineering, or related), experience scaling manufacturing from development to commercialization, understanding of regulated industries and quality standards, and Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certification.
