Role Overview

The Vice President of Operations is a full-time remote leadership position focused on strengthening core operational activities and improving efficiency across Edge Capital Ventures and its portfolio companies. The role is responsible for shaping operations strategy, refining processes, allocating resources effectively, and supporting the organization’s growth and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

This position covers operational planning, cross-functional coordination, KPI tracking, budget discipline, and P&L alignment. The VP will work closely with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, support operating teams within portfolio businesses, and help implement service and operational excellence practices. The role also includes developing and coaching strong teams, improving internal communication, and regularly evaluating risks and opportunities within the operating model.

Qualifications

Applicants should bring substantial operations leadership experience, including improving processes and driving performance across multiple business units. Experience overseeing P&L and financial performance is important, along with the ability to align day-to-day operations with budgets, margins, and growth goals. A background in customer service leadership, strategic planning, and project management is also required. Experience in private equity, venture capital, or other fast-growing environments will be an added advantage. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities are essential, including the confidence to influence senior executives and boards. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline; an MBA or similar advanced qualification is preferred. Prior success in remote leadership, team development, and building an inclusive, high-performance culture is also expected.
