Role summary
The Vice President of Marketing Communications will lead the organization’s global marketing communications function, shaping how the brand is positioned and perceived across markets. This executive role is accountable for unified messaging, customer engagement, and communications that support business growth. The position works closely with senior leadership and partners across Sales, Product, and Corporate Communications to keep all outward-facing communication aligned and effective.
Strategic marketing communications
- Design and implement a full-scale communications strategy that supports business goals and the company’s brand direction.
- Build integrated communication plans for product introductions, market expansion, customer acquisition, and revenue acceleration.
- Maintain message consistency across channels, regions, and every customer interaction point.
- Advise executive stakeholders on communication approaches that improve brand value and market visibility.
Brand and corporate messaging
- Own the development and ongoing management of the company’s global brand identity, messaging architecture, and value proposition.
- Keep brand voice, visual standards, and communication guidelines uniform across all platforms.
- Create storytelling approaches that deepen customer connection and loyalty.
- Safeguard the company’s reputation through thoughtful and proactive communications.
Integrated marketing campaigns
- Lead multi-channel campaign planning and execution across digital, print, social media, email, events, and paid media.
- Work with Product Marketing and Sales to shape go-to-market communication plans.
- Direct campaign messaging, creative direction, planning, and promotional activity.
- Use customer insights and performance data to improve campaign outcomes.
Digital and content marketing
- Set the content strategy across websites, blogs, video, webinars, email, and social channels.
- Oversee search optimization, paid search, social communication, influencer partnerships, and online brand activity.
- Create customer-focused content that drives demand and supports retention.
- Use marketing automation and CRM tools to strengthen engagement and conversion.
Public relations and media engagement
- Partner with Corporate Communications on media relations, press releases, and executive visibility efforts.
- Support thought leadership through conferences, interviews, white papers, and industry events.
- Develop relationships with journalists, analysts, influencers, and strategic partners.
- Coordinate communication activity around major announcements and product launches.
Performance, analytics, and budgets
- Define KPIs to track brand awareness, campaign performance, engagement, lead generation, and marketing ROI.
- Review marketing data and customer behavior to refine communication strategy.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor partnerships.
- Present performance updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Leadership and organizational development
- Recruit, coach, and guide strong teams across marketing communications, content, creative, and digital marketing.
- Encourage close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Corporate Communications.
- Support innovation, creativity, operational discipline, and ongoing improvement.
- Oversee relationships with agencies, creative partners, media organizations, and technology vendors.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; an MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in marketing communications, brand management, integrated marketing, or corporate communications.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level communications strategies and large integrated campaigns.
- Strong capability across branding, digital marketing, content strategy, public relations, and customer engagement.
- Experience managing multinational teams and global communications programs.
- Solid financial understanding with experience managing marketing budgets and campaign ROI.
- Excellent leadership, presentation, communication, and strategic planning ability.
Preferred experience and tools
- Background in fintech, cryptocurrency, blockchain, financial services, SaaS, technology, or other fast-growth sectors is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Adobe Experience Cloud, or comparable platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, and marketing attribution tools.
- Experience with AI-enabled marketing, personalization, customer journey improvement, and omnichannel communication.
- International marketing exposure and multilingual capability are highly desirable.
- Experience leading brand transformation or global product launch initiatives is preferred.
