About the Role
Join an innovative and rapidly expanding manufacturing startup that leverages robotics within its facilities. This leadership position reports directly to executive management and supports the company’s growth across multiple locations in the United States, having doubled its workforce from 1,000 to 2,000 employees with backing from prominent investors.
Key Qualifications
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations, or a similar discipline; an MBA is considered advantageous.
- Between ten to fifteen years of advancing experience in manufacturing within the food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods sectors.
- At least five years managing several sites or overseeing large-scale manufacturing operations.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement practices, and achieving operational excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the capability to influence teams across multiple locations.
- Strong financial management proficiency including budget oversight and profit and loss responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Translate corporate manufacturing strategies into executable action plans across three manufacturing plants, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Oversee plant-level performance by monitoring essential KPIs such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), unit cost, service levels, and first-run quality; enforce accountability relative to profit and loss targets.
- Drive initiatives focusing on Lean methodologies, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and continual process improvement to reduce costs and waste whilst elevating productivity.
- Maintain compliance with federal and industry safety regulations including OSHA, SQF, HACCP, and FSMA and foster a robust safety-oriented culture.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Plant Managers to establish a strong leadership pipeline.
- Serve as the primary liaison connecting plant operations with corporate departments such as Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Finance, and Human Resources.
