Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the IT and security strategy and operational model aligned with the company's business goals.
  • Lead the internalization of IT services, transitioning from outsourced providers to an in-house IT organization with scalable support and service standards.
  • Manage identity and access controls, device lifecycle, employee onboarding and offboarding processes, and endpoint security operations.
  • Create and uphold enterprise security policies, standards, frameworks, and governance.
  • Supervise security tools and procedures, including endpoint detection, monitoring, email protection, and application security measures.
  • Oversee compliance initiatives such as SOC 2 readiness, audit coordination, risk assessments, and control documentation.
  • Maintain enterprise-wide incident response strategies, escalation protocols, business continuity plans, and disaster recovery programs.
  • Collaborate extensively with Engineering, Finance, Legal, and executive teams to manage technology-related risks and support organizational priorities.
  • Lead, mentor, and expand the IT and security operations team, fostering a culture centered on accountability and continuous advancement.
  • Manage technology partnerships including vendor selection, contracts, renewals, performance evaluation, and find optimization opportunities.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing or transforming internal IT departments, especially transitioning away from managed service providers.
  • Strong operational and security capabilities, with the ability to actively support teams when necessary.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security and compliance frameworks, notably SOC 2 and enterprise risk management.
  • Preferably experienced in B2B SaaS or technology-centric companies.
  • Proficient with identity and access management solutions such as Okta or Entra.
  • Experienced with endpoint management and security tools including Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems.
  • Familiarity with leading cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledgeable about productivity suites including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
  • Solid understanding of security governance, incident management, business continuity, and disaster recovery principles.
  • Exceptional ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues to executives, business units, and external parties.
  • Business-oriented mindset recognizing the impact of security on customer experience, growth, and operations.
  • Comfortable managing uncertainty and rapid changes, capable of establishing processes from scratch.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ranging between 220000 and 245000 USD annually.
  • Flexible time-off policy encouraging usage of approximately four weeks per year.
  • Company-sponsored medical coverage for employees and qualifying dependents.
  • Paid dental and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
  • Options for Flexible Spending Accounts.
  • Paid parental leave up to eight weeks.
  • Work-from-home stipend provided.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with a global, high-performance team across various regions.
