Role Overview

The Vice President of Human Resources at Noland Health Services, Inc. is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of human resource operations and legal and regulatory affairs within the organization. This leadership role includes the development and enforcement of policies, recruitment, employee retention, leadership growth, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, organize, manage, and evaluate human resources and payroll functions and services.
  • Create and maintain policies and practices that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and foster positive employer-employee relationships.
  • Lead a capable team of HR professionals, aiming to establish a credible and responsive advisory unit for management.
  • Identify and ensure adherence to applicable legal and regulatory standards such as OSHA, EEO, ERISA, and FLSA.
  • Coordinate with external partners including HR consultants, insurance providers, training experts, labor counsel, and other service providers as necessary.
  • Develop recruitment initiatives to attract and retain qualified employees across all business units.
  • Manage benefit programs effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with federal laws, while evaluating trends to enhance offerings.
  • Develop and oversee salary administration plans, including job description creation, performance evaluation systems, market benchmarking, and ensuring equitable pay.
  • Drive leadership development and educational programs organization-wide.
  • Provide guidance to management on performance management, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations; conduct investigations and recommend corrective measures when policies are breached.
  • Maintain comprehensive HR and payroll records in accordance with legal standards and retention policies.
  • Design and coordinate employee perception surveys and communicate findings.
  • Contribute to budget planning and financial oversight concerning HR functions.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related business field is required; a master's degree is preferred. Candidates should possess at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience within healthcare settings, including a minimum of 5 years in senior management positions.
